We are so proud of our 2011 CMC Team who participated in the 20th Annual Run/Walk for the Cure on Sunday October 2, 2011.  We braved cold, windy and wet weather to join in and had teams participating in both Toronto and Montreal.

Congratulations to our team not only for their efforts on the big day, but also in raising a grand total of $6,303 to support Breast Cancer Research.  A big shout out and thanks to all those who supported us in exceeding our fundraising goal.  We can’t wait until next year!

About The Run for the Cure

The Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event that started in 1992 by Andrea Thomas Hill.  In its first year, this event drew in 1,500 participants and raised $85,000 for breast cancer research.  Since then, more than 1,000,000 participants have participated in the Run for the Cure raising millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of a future free of breast cancer.  The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leader in funding research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.  This volunteer-based organization works collaboratively to fund and support relevant and innovative research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

  • "  The course dealt with practical applications of the theory versus a pure academic lecture. Through different scenarios, I think I have something to come back to my organization with that will work.   "

  • "  The course touched on all the important areas that I would expect to have been covered. I also appreciated how Steve applied the content to his own experiences.  "

  • "  I liked that Dr Carmont uses examples that can easily be translated into our work life. The flow of the class works well for me. I like the various group activities that make you think as well as learn from others experiences.  "

  • "  Outstanding – related material to real life scenarios.  "
